Gene Bean
President

Gene has been President of the company since 1997 and was part of the team that formed the joint venture company. Born in Bermuda, he has been a part of the aviation community since 1967 when he joined Eastern Airlines. He later moved to Continental before joining BAS in 1990. He considers himself a keen runner and cyclist (Being President has its perks, all other votes and opinions on this subject were summarily thrown out).

Frank Williams
Vice President & Chief Executive Officer

Newly accepted this position having formally been contract manager for the Butterfield, Frank was educated in England and has worked around the world. His education and varied work experiences make him a strong all round manager. Frank joined BAS-Serco from The Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo where he was the Facilities Manager. He spends his spare time scuba diving, boating and dog agility training (so it's true when we say he has gone to the dogs).

Jamie Sapsford
Vice President, Aviation & Corporate Assurance

Originally employed as an air traffic controller in 1995 Jamie managed the ATC department for six years until 2007; he has additionally held a number of Corporate Assurance posts since 1997. Jamie has two children Harley and Fae. He is a keen sailor, an active member of the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association, and is a regular soccer coach with the Bermuda Youth Sports Programme. Jamie attained a UK private pilot licence in 1986 and, although currently an inactive pilot, he leaps at any opportunity to fly left or right-hand seat.

Rex Brontmeyer
Manager Ground Electronics Maintenance

Rex joined BAS-Serco as the GES manager in 2004. Prior to coming to Bermuda, he spent 27 years as a Telecommunications Officer in the Canadian Air Force and the last 5 years as a consultant to the Department of National Defence. Rex was born in Canada and received his BEng in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. He hates the cold and loves rum so Bermuda is an ideal match for him.

Rene Clarke
Compliance Manager Butterfield Contract

Rene joined BAS-Serco in 2002 as the Assistant Facilities Manager for the Butterfield. Previous to this he worked for The Bank of Bermuda as a fund accountant. Tit for Tat. He graduated from Rutgers University New Jersey in 1985 with a BA in Accounting then decided to be a mechanic after working in that field for a few years. He was certified with ASE and GM qualifications then his daughter was born on the same evening he was to sit for ASE masters certification exams. So went that. Never played golf decided it was for his more senior years, now wonders if swinging a club would throw his back out.

Lynetta Fisher
Accountant/Office Manager

Lynetta has been the Accountant/Office manager for the company since August 1995 prior to that she was the Financial Officer for the Navy Exchange in Bermuda. Lynetta came to Bermuda in August of 1986. She received her BS degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and her MBA from Webster University in Bermuda. She loves to do crafts and can be found many an evening sitting in front of her TV with a bowl of pins and beads making Christmas Ornaments.

Antoinette Foggo
Acting Air Traffic Control Services Manager

Mark Guishard
Director Bermuda Weather Service

From a young age Mark has had his head in the clouds. He joined the Bermuda Weather Service as a trainee forecaster in 1997, upon completion of his Master's in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of East Anglia in the UK. Hurricanes and subtropical storms have been of particular interest to Mark, so in 2002 he undertook a Ph.D. in Meteorology from Penn. State University. Ironically, he was abroad studying hurricanes when Hurricane Fabian hit Bermuda in 2003. Mark has now completed his studies and takes over the postion of Director of the Bermuda Weather Service. Mark is also an officer in the Bermuda Sea Cadet Corps, and when not gazing skyward, he helps to run a tight ship of cadets in St. George's.

Tracey Sutherland
Manager Butterfield Contract

Tracey joined Bas-Serco in August 2001 as temporary staff and was hired full time in October 2002. She is currently running the facility maintenance contract at the Butterfield, Tracey was educated in Newfoundland Canada and spent 10 years in West Africa . She loves the warm climate so she has no desire to go back and live in the cold!! She spends her spare time running, going to the gym and golfing.
